Course Summary
Who it’s for: This introductory class is designed for anyone who has an interest in acting. Whether you're a beginner who has never stepped foot on stage before or a more experienced actor looking to refresh your skills, Introduction to Acting gives you a taste of the craft of acting and helps you develop a foundation of skills and techniques to bring a character to life on stage or in front of the camera.  

What it’s about: You will explore the fundamentals of acting, including techniques for developing believable characters, while working with scripts and scenes. You will also have the chance to work with your fellow classmates, giving and receiving feedback to help you grow as an actor. You’ll explore ways to approach a script and bring it to life through active listening, improvisation, and scene work. Veteran instructor Kate Peckham will guide you through a series of exercises and activities designed to help you develop your acting abilities. In her relaxed and encouraging style, she will provide you with feedback and support as you learn, helping you to identify your strengths and weaknesses while providing you with the tools to enhance your skills.
